On Thursday 8th March, Mavin Records star Korede Bello headlined at a Women’s Day school outreach at Bethany High School in Naalya, a suburb of Kampala the capital of Uganda. The outreach was organised by local non-profit, Reach A Hand Uganda (RAHU), a youth led organisation that focuses on mitigating socio-cultural norms to provide young people with Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights information and life skills, for them to be able to make informed decisions.

Over 20 schools will converge at Bethany High School Naalya for a two-day basketball tournament that kicks this this coming month. National Schools Basketball Associations (NASBA) boys’ and girls’ champions Kabojja SS and Kibuli SS are among the top Kampala Schools to challenge for honors. In the boys’ category are the champions Kibuli SS, St. Mary’s Kisubi, and Makerere College, among others. The girls’ category features Nabisunsa, Crane High, Ndejje SS, Seroma SS, St. Peter’s Naalya, Kabojja SS, and Buddo SS among others.

Bethany High School will be having annual MMD Competition begin early next month.The MMD department help learners to acquire skills in music,dance and drama and at the end of the course students are able to: – compose,train and sing songs. – compose,write,act and train plays. – train dances.
